ICT ( Image Constraint Token) may be dropped via component output If this is the case i will be happy. because i purchase a hd capable tv from sony which only has component output before all this hd ready nonsense came into effect. i have no hdni dvi sockets on my lcd sony klv26hg2. its good if they stick to there guns by allowing hi-def without downscaling until 2012. i was the 1st consumer to buy there tv set so they should not let me down. any way we see what the facts are when they come out. news links on the subject are http://www.dailytech.com/article.aspx?newsid=2486 http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?op...=3060&Itemid=2 http://www.xbitlabs.com/news/multime...522235206.html Shahid Last edited by Shahid; 23-05-2006 at 09:11 PM. | ||

My System: 2xPace 430N, 1xNokia MM9800, 1xNokia 80cm Sat Dish, 1xGibertini 120cm, Big Fat Furry Puss | I worked for a company with six SONY plasmas - doing their thing. They were not only shit, but didn't have any useful ins apart from SVGA.Fact is: when a manufacture changes its mind and goes down a different connection route (HDMI in this case) - you are outta the loop. Very much the same feeling you get when you buy the best (last in stock) only to find a nicer one two weeks later. The same happened with me and my 'first' Panny DVD player. Sometime around 2002 it couldn't play some (SONY) discs. It got so bad in the end I bought a cheapy that could manage all the new crack-pot encryption. I am sure that panny cost more than four hundred quid. Whatever.
