Sky meets broadcasters to solve TV voting snags

Sky is set to meet up with all of the broadcasting companies which run interactive TV services on Sky Digital in an attempt to solve technical problems that prevent some viewers from casting their votes via their remote controls. According to some sources, some early interactive voting programmes, such as ITV's I'm A Celebrity, resulted in significant numbers of votes failing to register. The aim of the meeting is to find a way to change the process by which Sky supports interactive voting. It has been reported that Sky currently authenticates every viewer response, which can create a bottleneck at times of high demand and stop some votes being registered.
