My System: N/A | BT secures IPTV victory for Premiership In a joint bid with BSkyB ( sky digital), BT's internet TV (IPTV) Vision service has won the rights to carry 242 "near-live" FA Premier League football matches per season. Subscribers of BT Vision will be able to watch delayed coverage of the Premier League without the need for a Sky subscription. The deal marks an historic point both for the competitive relations of the broadcast giants and the technology that makes it feasible. BT's agreement with BSkyB will span three years and will allow BT Vision subscribers to watch the games from 10pm on the day of the match. BT now has one of the most compelling sports offerings in the UK with access to content from Paramount, Endemol, DreamWorks, National Geographic Channel and Warner Music Group. Regards Satdude. | ||
