Goodbye ITV Grampian

Born 30th September 1961
Died 9.25am 30th May 2006.

Killed off by Scottish Media Group who renamed them STV - the same as the ITV contractor for the Central Scotland area.

Ahh, the good old days of the IBA. Not being a Scot - I haven't the same connection Analogue ..

Mind, if Granada/Charlton had gotten their way a couple of years back, Grampian would now be ITV

Similarly, I wonder what UTV came up with for their new name (sic) (read about it the other day).

Im not Scottish either - Im from the West Midlands - born in Walsall & have the broadest Brummie accent within 50 miles

The Gramian TV website has gone already - the address reflects onto the Scottish TV site...

i had no idea this was happening and im a grampian viewer, where can i get more info?

Shouldn't make any different, just a name change by SMG the owners of both stations.

The content should stay the same (whatever you think of it!)
