EUTELSAT AND ASTRA TO BROADCAST WEMF SESSIONS
Outlast has announced that key sessions of the World Electronic Media Forum
(WEMF) will be broadcast live and free-to-air through its Hot Bird 6 (13°E)
satellite that serves television homes throughout Europe, North Africa and
the Middle East. The sessions to be broadcast through Hot Bird 6 include
the opening session in the afternoon of 9 December and modules on media
freedom, the Information Society and the future role of electronic media in
the Information Society on 10 December. Reception parameters are: Hot Bird
6 (13° East): Transponder 133 (ID 4901), Downlink frequency 11179 MHz,
X-polarisation, 27.5 Msymb/s, FEC ¾. European viewers will also have access
to live and recorded coverage of the WEMF (Geneva, 9 * 12 December) thanks
to SES ASTRA. The Forum's sessions will be available on both ASTRA orbital
positions at 19.2° and 28.2° East at the following times: 9 December: live
from 1100 to 1845 UTC; recorded: from 2230 to 0200 (10 December) UTC; 10
December: live from 1100 to 1845 UTC; recorded: from 2230 to 0200 (11
December) UTC; (last schedule to be confirmed). Reception parameters as

event of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) organized in
