1.8m fortec star would do it if you have got a bit of room in the garden as it is ground mounted,

This is what i use from maplin only £99 if you order online postage is free and you get a few quid off

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...dish&doy=12m11

and they sell the feedhorn & lnb it is on the same page £69.99 for the feedhorn and lnb
http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...dish&doy=12m11

I also made a thread about the dish a few weeks back Fortec star 1.8m dish Ain't that bad after all / c-band

My System: have a 2.40 m Amercian monster + truman Gold starsat + NeotionBox3000 + Mvision + DragonX

so AlJazeera Sport channel will split from ART Hotbird's cards , just like it did last summer on Nilesat
AJSC cards can be baught seperately and with a cam (not connected to ART HB) and of course still available on Nilesat (part of Showtime Arabia or free for Orbit subs)
we might have hope then for EPL on AJSC on HB ?!!!
time will tell

11.747 V 27500 3/4 is one of the strongest on nilesat

Best way to find it is find Atlantic bird2 8'w 11.010 H 27500 3/4 first then touch the dish 1 degree back east to nilesat 7'w

Don't think I didn't notice that.

Ahem. Royals 3 - 1 Spurs

Well most people will have bouight their ART cards prior to this season's start and by the time the package moves over to Showtime, their cards will have expired.

There will probably be other options like digitalb on 16E and Czech Link on 23.5E, obviously not as cheap as ART is at the moment, but did anyone seriously expect the cheap ride to last?

How much does a sub card cost for Showtime?

1.8M - that's about 1/4 of my garden

But looks like I don't need to put it in the garden:

No idea on costs yet, I'm sure it will come to light in the coming months though.

at tollickd, you'll still have the whole of this season, so it is still good value.

I pay about £23ish per month from my credit card direct to showtime,

I have a irdeto2 ADD FIRSTNET card which i had a few months back then i subscribed to showtime by just calling them up and subscribe because if you have a ADD or firstnet or pehla or al awael card you can have showtime added to your card,

You can also just buy a showtime card but they will only post the card to the middle east,

But i do know a few companys that can get showtime cards,

But i was thinking about packing the sub to showtime in soon and just buying a visionnet vn8000s

Its a shame, Art have lost the rights, some very unhappy live kickoff football fans,
myself included to hear this news.

However all is not lost, if we are all prepared to pay for reception of Showtime.
a friend told me, showtime can be picked at 62E, bit too low on the horizon
for myself, perhaps others, with a clear view might have more luck.

Package with free Decoder/Sports & Movie channels, some 400AED pm? so I've been told. (unconfirmed)

Also I googled & came across this, Nilesat 7W footprint/dish size for UK reception.

I reckon (correct me if I'm wrong) some dish sizes quoted, would be too small.

My System: andrews dish - jaeger 1224 motor, vantage x221tsci, skystar 2, diablo v2.3, cyfra+

instead of paying for a bigger dish just get a sub to nova or canal + etc will be much cheaper than buying a 1.8metre andrews dish

I think were jumping the gun a little here. I still haven't seen this reported on any other website. However, unfortunately, I have full faith in the admin team here.......

Secondly we dont know

1 - If showtime intend to show 4-6 matches simultaneuosly as ART do !(or just show 1 or 2)
2 - If they will continue with English Commentary.

If they only show 1 match at 3pm with Arabic Commentary it would reduce their value (to us) considerably.

Only time will tell .......

The news is all over Google, search for "Showtime Arabia premier football" and you will see the confirmation.

Of course this doesn't guarantee that ART will have no matches at all, just makes it improbable.

If they've bought a similar package to that which ART have at present, then I guess that the coverage will be similar.

My System: Sky+ Pace v3, and before that analouge 80cm dish with Prima by Pace box pointed at 19.2e (not very imaginative then!)

If anyone was thinking of getting an ART card now, I think they should forget it and just watch the 3pm's on the net like i do (i'm presuming many have Sky for the other games).

Perhaps it would be a good idea to post a 'knock-list' of the different broadcasters and their packages and prices on this thread, since this is becoming a magnet for viewers.
