Lachlan Murdoch, the eldest soon of the media mogul Rupert Murdoch, will take over key responsibilities at US broadcasting network Fox, following the departure of chairman Sandy Grushow. The 35-station Fox network, 82 per cent owned by Murdoch's News Corp, made an estimated $400 million (£220m) profit last year on the strength of series such as American Idol and The Simpsons.
