Kabel Deutschland Selects Pace STBs

Pace Micro Technology was selected as the set-top box launch partner for Deutsche Kabel Service,a subsidiary company of Kabel Deutschland GmbH, Germany's largest cable network operator, as it prepares to roll-out digital cable TV services.

The company will use Pace's DC210 with Nagravision Conditional Access (CA) and HTML browser to provide pay-TV programmes and enhanced digital TV services for the first time.

KDG, which currently has over 10 million analogue subscribers will launch its first digital TV services in spring 2004. To support this launch, Pace will ship its DC210 digital set-top boxes to KDG for its direct sales business. Pace will also retail and market KDG and Pace-branded set-top boxes throughout Germany's distributor and retail channels.
