The BBC and ITV have agreed an 'amicable division' of televised matches for the Euro 2004 football tournament. ITV will show the first two of three England group matches, but the BBC will have the pick of quarter-final matches – guaranteeing it shows the England match if the team qualifies. Both semi-finals and the final will be shown on both networks. Brian Barwick, Controller, ITV Sport, said: "We are delighted ITV viewers will be able to see England's first two matches of the Euro 2004 campaign and in particular the eagerly awaited opening clash against the holders France." | ||
