New Greek television channel Mega Cosmos started broadcasting
from Greek-Cypriot Hellas Sat 2 - 39E satellite. The channel is designed for viewers in U.S. and Australia. Mega Cosmos belongs to Teletypos SA company and is a part of its Mega Channel undertaking, which broadcasts in the Greek digital package Nova from the Hot Bird satellite.


Teletypos SA company based in Athens was one of the first Greek companies to get a licence for commercial digital channels in 1989 .

The main Mega TV channel encrypted in Irdeto 2 is available from Hot Bird - 13E satellite, frequency 11,823H (SR=27500, FEC=3/4) for subscribers of Nova digital package, only. The company created Mega Cosmos channel for viewers outside Greece.
