Playboy inks multiple programming deals | | Playboy TV International says it has concluded multiple third party programming sales deals with free-to-air broadcast stations and cable networks in Italy, France, Monaco, Iceland and Belgium.
Italy's SKY Italia, has licensed 23 Playboy branded movies that will be featured on MAX, the movie channel primarily targeting male viewers. Beginning this month, MAX will air one Playboy movie a week.
TMC renewed its commitment for an additional 40 hours of Playboy programming from 2004 through 2005. TMC is a free-to-air station in southern France and Monaco and is carried on cable and satellite throughout the rest of the country.
The company also completed a new sale to the Icelandic Broadcasting Corporation. ICB has purchased 20 acquired movies from PTVI edited to cable viewing standards. Joining other basic cable and satellite networks in Western Europe carrying high-quality Playboy programming, the general entertainment channel RTL Klub in Wallonia, French-speaking Belgium, has signed a deal with PTVI for the series Women and Red Shoe Diaries, appealing no only to men but also women around the world. |
