FX preps push for ESPN.

A renewed marketing push will kick in this June. for Foxs UK FX channel . Fox International Channels senior vice president Hernan Lopez said that there will be a campaign to coincide with the debut of ESPN-produced American football drama Playmakers, which FX picked up exclusive UK pay TV rights to and bows in June. along with NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigation Service) stablemate JAG (Judge Advocate General). FX skews to 25 to 44 year old males and is less than two months old in the UK. It currently is only carried on BSkyB & DTH platform but discussions are underway to secure cable carriage. Further afield, a Latin launch is a possibility Lopez said. Fox already operates the Canal Fox channel, but FX is seen as hitting a more focused demographic.
