DITG wants international business

Independent UK interactive television company, the Digital Interactive Television Group (DITG), is targeting overseas customers and has hired Justin Hewelt as senior business development manager.

Hewelt has developed digital and interactive television projects in markets including Australia, France, Holland, Scandinavia and South Africa, as well as the UK. In 2000, in recognition of market need, he co-founded Broadband Bananas, an industry networking organisation and web portal for the digital and iTV community which now reaches more than 16,000 industry professionals worldwide.

Neil MacDonald, managing director of DITG, says: "Although it is widely accepted that the UK iTV industry is the most advanced in the world, we see equally exciting opportunities for DITG in other markets. Tapping these markets is a case of truly understanding their individuality. Justin has both the hands-on experience and the in-depth expertise to achieve this."
