Arrow Rumours of Dish India and Tatasky Hacked

Read the attachment (from Electronics For You magazine Jan. Issie Page no. 16) claim that Dish tv and Tatasky are hacked using SKYBOX and TECNOCRAFT UNIVERSAL PCI card with TETRA AUTO DESCRAMBLING method. I have no idea about this if any one have any idea please post it here

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

Before anyone gets very excited about this let me point out that its highly unlikley to be true - Dish India uses Conax and Tata uses Videoguard. These are 2 of the most secure encryptions going and the chances of both being prised open within a couple of weeks are remote.

Theres only one item on google for "TETRA AUTO DESCRAMBLING" and thats on a Maldive digital forum!

Believe it when you see it - not before. The European sat scene is littered with reports of magic boxes which will decrypt pay tv services.

Its more likely someone has prised open the Mediaguard encrypted channels within Dish India - the Mediaguard encryption is shot to pieces in Europe.

My System: coship receiver 2000,Dreambox 500;2 ku3cband dishes of 2,4,6&8feet,amd 64 pc with 1GB ram usb tv tuner card

I have also heard rumours that in Delhi some programmers are flashing the receivers so that some encrypted DTH channels are free to air.

Yes - and when asked wheres the proof its always been seen by a sisters great aunts friend of a friend.

Donr believe it until you either

1) see it yourself (but then examine the equipment to see if a subs card had been cut in half and jammed into a hidden slot)
2) a well repected senior member of the forum has seen it and confirmed it.

Card sharing is completely different from having the services hacked.....

You still need a subscription card in the setup somewhere.

You will now be inundated with questions as to how you got it working BUT NOT ON THIS THREAD if you please
