First change the bootloader

2. load the firmware (XSC 550ANV) with kum 230 patched
3. enjoy.

There is no problem with providing step by step details of the receiver modification procedures on the forum. Also, loaders are ok to put on the forum for the benefit of members, but firmware images for receivers are not permitted.

Its ok to put NONE CLICKABLE links to firmware in a post

Put an underscore in front of the url like this

_www.bbc.co.uk

or mangle the url like this

w*w.bbc.co.uk

However once again we must make the following warning. Do not try any receiver modifications UNLESS you know exactly what you are doing, and accept if anything goes wrong you will probably wreck your receiver.

I strongly advise that you do not try these modifications on the satellite box the family depend on - you will not be popular if you wreck it!! Find a second one to experiment on

How To

1. go to hxxp://www.sat.us.pn
2. download the bootloader and follow the instruction
3. download the original firmware under tab original firmware (XSC-550ANV)
4. download the kup230 engineered patch.

Be careful what you are doing it at your own risk.
I have done it my receiver is changed and its working all well, except the front display.

After taking backup of ROM, is there any way to modify this ROM?
We can use Hex Editor to modify ROM file but how to find out where to modify ( offset ) what to modify?
If we can modify certain bytes which at particular location ( offset ) is it possible to bypass authentication?

Funny ! Isn't it ?

There is a topic started and everyone is interested and then it is dead with no new post. 2 weeks and nothing news about the crack in the encryption. Das started the topic saying - "Finally I have Dish TV". What does it mean ? He went for Dish TV package or he got a crack to get Dish TV free on a Kaon receiver ?
