Red face Tata Sky_DVB SSU MMIV LOADER

Since this morning, i mean for more than 12 hours i am having problems with my Tatasky STB, as it goes to black screen every 2 minutes, and showing as "DVB SSU MMIV LOADER" "New software is being downloaded" the status is always struck on 0%, seems one or two times, it went up to 10-20% but never completed the dowloading.

Every time, after 5-6 minutes it returns to normal, and can watch programs, but as it never ends, after 2-3 minutes it does the same thing, and goes back to the same downloading process.

Can anyone, help me out, or tell what to do, I already created trouble ticket, and e-mailed them, but seems no response yet, and am waiting.

Thanks chaps for replies.

I am using the Tata sky in K.S.A. Dammam, As i contact today, one of the dealer/technician (from whom i bought it from India), he says, i will have to try to increase the signal strength, and once all the tp's are catchable, the download will automatically complete.
Is there any ways to skip it or any other suggestions...???

your replies are appreciated.

NO solution so far,

Yes, I think the only option is try to increase the signal some how. I have seen many posts in other forums today saying that you have to increase the signal, as the same problem facing since 2 days for users in and around the middle east.

Anyways, I am trying tonight to reallign my dish once more, and try to catch the maximum signal. If it works, i will update the post.

Thanks.
And keep updated.

Also, if anyone living nearby dammam, Abqaiq, using tatasky, and have solved or installed the software succcessffully, let me know, so i can contact or bring my STB to install the software.
Thanks.

Tried for 3 hours to increase the signal

We tried for almost 3 hours to increase the signal, though we got some good results, the problem still persists.

It looks like TataSky want to stop decoders outside the Indian territory.

Unhappy DVB downloader

KHHUSSAIN, Since you are living in dammam, (nearer to where i am staying), letme ask you... "What's the size of the dish you are using? is it 210 or 240??
Because, I am using a 210 dish... And some of the technicians earlier informed me, I have to try the 240 dish, so that i can get all the channels, Now, using the 210 dish, i can all the channels except, Star Gold, HBO and some of the others too......

Let me know, what size u r using..?? Anyways, now nothing works, bcoz of this software problem......

I didnt try yet, to reallign the dish, as i couldnt get the technician....

but will give a try, and let u know,
Also note that, whenever, i reallign the dish, and adjust I managed to get all the channels, including star gold, but within 2-3 days it used to vanish bcoz of the bad weather or wind.

thanks

Smile Successful

Resolved the problem. I found a good technician, who realligned the dish, and also replaced the LNB, with a good one. Now i am watching all the channels, and having good frequency.

Anybody, still has any probelm, i suggest to findout a good technician first. I was always inforemd by other technicians, saying that in here (Saudi) its hard to catch signal. But i say, if you find a good technician, they can allign and catch all the channels.

I am using: 210cm Dish.

Thanks.

He battled for 3 days against the Tux and won! Hurray!!

Please don't type in capital letters or use text speech when posting in this forum.
Also asking the member for the technician telephone number can get him into trouble if he post it here.

@Ahmad3388
It is not enough that you editted your post so now it is not in CAPS, but you kept the text speech and also asking for the technician phone number.
Just in case you don't know what text speech is, it is typing
u for you
pls for please
yr for your
r for are
etc.

Suggest to edit your post again into proper English this time.

English is a beautiful language, so don't butcher it with this kind of lazy typing attitude.

Glad you have sorted out the problem.
If the good technician is also a satellite dish installer, perhaps he can add his details in the Installers section (for outside Europe) so that other members in your location can contact him.
Just don't give his details in your posts.
