My System: AverTV Dvb-S , Diseq 1.1(4 port), 60CM Ku Band Dish - Nss6, 12ft Meshed C-band Dish - Insat 2E/3B/4A, Adteknik Mp3.6 USB Card Reader. + Hathway(DVB-C) Humax STB + Planing to Buy Tata sky & 120 Ku band Dish & a DVB-c Card | Card server is a peice of software, Which is installed on PC with a ethernet connection. The PC has to have a funcard/phoenix interface i.e a smartcard reader, which reads the Smart Cards(Viewing cards). Basic functionality of a card server is. 1. Accept incoming connections from Card Server client 2. Get the ECW 3. Pass the ecw to the Smart Card to decrypt it. 4. Read the decrypted ECW ie DCW from the output of the card 5. return dcw to the card server cleint (STB/PC etc etc.) The basic functionality in more techie words::: The pc is connected to the STB's or Other PC's which have a cardserver client running on them. Now This client acts like a Viewing card (ie. Emulator). When a specific key(DCW) is required to decrypt a channel the client sends a request (ECW) to the Card Server (in this case the pc which has the original card.) over a ethernet using TCP or UDP connection. inturn the card server send a request (Serial connection) to Viewing card to decrypt the ECW and get the dcw.. Then the card server returns the DCW to the card server client over the ethernet using the same TCP/UDP connection. The card server cleint decrypts the video using the dcw sent by the server.

Once the Copy Protection Bit is Reseted . Then clone as many cards you want. PS: And once these Providers find that I can clone cards... I go behind Bars! and Read books/newspapers!!! so better way is watch pay tv by paying!!
