How many Channels do u get when u search for new channels in DISHTV ?

Now all know FTV has been added...to dish tv
and yesteday i searched for channels i got 141 channels..
but today i did the search and got 164 channels./././

how much do u get..???

mine is maxi pack with tamil selected ...

Well everyone here get 161 channels. I think you should check it agian about 164 channels.

If you found 164 channels that please tell us about 3 new channels.

well i tried again but still 161

but now i am finding that most often i getting signal not found.. it is very irritating.. and annoyuing..more over switvhing to next channel is toooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow..
may i have just tried dishtv and bought before ..my life would have been comfortable...

From 1-June -07,When I search I got 131 channels only. Note that I am in UAE. Any update that any one here got all the channels back.

Star utsau and zee smile, dd urdu have new frequencies in NSS6 95.
Frequencies are
11150 v 27500
and
11570 v 27500

Dear member, these TPs (frequencies as you say) are not from NSS6. These are from INSAT 4B.

hi friends?
help me......i chkd many more times and found 131 channels r comming, while rescanning same thing happened also showing an error msg that some transports r missing. in details i found 3 transports showing zero service. why this msg comming. & how to get 164 channels? my i-guide version is 93.
FTV again lunched, but how to watch original (international) FTV, what modification reqd? which software reqd. to watch original NatGeo, Channel-V, MTV etc?????????????

Another thing after putting Utility password a msg is comming that download in progress... but actually nothing is comming, only STB stop responding.. why? means no utility??? or wrong procedure?
pls help...

Friend, you need to buy different STB to watch other satellites. DishTV has disabled the feature of adding new Transponders to their STBs in effect locking the STBs to their service. If you want to watch FTA channels from other satellites, please buy any FTA receiver available in the local market.

Same problem with me for the past two or three weeks. I live in Muscat. I have subscribed for Dish Maxi (Tamil Malayalam) and have Zenega 1004S.

I do not get Sun TV, Sun News, Jaya TV etc. now. It searches for only 131 channels.

Can someone help please. I called the Dish TV India but they do not know. On Channel Search and saving found channels (131 channels found) I get the message "Some transports missed".

HELP please.

Sun TV - not part of zee DishTV

People, just try to understand SUNTV, SUN News etc is not part of Zee DishTV.

It is Doordarshan's DTH channels and dishtv was enjoying channels from that transponders too.

Now if you adjust your dish to receive both 93.5E and 95E satellite then you will get SUN TV.

I searched today evening and I got 164 channels on 13 transponders. So the number has increased by 3. I saw a new channel called PTC News and some other test channels. But for some reason, a number of my channels have gotten blocked. I guess I have to leave the STB on a paychannel for a few hours.

Yesterday I found 164 channels and still it is the same. No new Bangla channel has been added by Dish TV and it is great mistake of Dish TV company we hope they will add Star Ananda, Tara Bangla, Kolkata TV will be added in Dish TV platform to retain Bengali speaking customers in Bangladesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Assam and some Bengali speaking belts in India.

You forget that there are 3 satellites all effectively co-located in space, and each with its own transmission characteristics. The channels you are missing are on Insat 4B

http://www.flysat.com/insat93.php

This probably means that the transmission footprint for 4B is not as favourable in the Middle East as NSS6 is.

Today the number of total channels has gone upto 166. I see RajTV, Raj Digital, PTC News. No idea what the others are. No sign of Star Cricket yet.

I think those who get more channels live in India. Note that my message is about channels being available outside of India, especially in the Gulf Countries like Oman, UAE, Kuwait etc.
