I'll give it a shot m8, with the above model. Looks similar to the smw OMT.

Thanx

CH m8, here is my current setup on me dish.

To install the OMT with my setup i will either need to modify the polarotor mounting kit or fabricate a new holder.

Just hope you got something in the garage that will fit a 4 arm support and be able to hold a OMT

Thanx

I do have feeds that look exactly like the Chaparral, designed for prime focus dishes (with a single spar clamping arrangement).

You cannot use a polarotor, the alignment will be set by hand. There was one however used by NEC on an IRTE 1.5m dish (Fergusson branded) which would have been ideal, but I am talking 20+ years ago.

I want to get rid of the polarotor m8. I want to minimise the losses.

Will pull one out of the garage later today (actually I think I have one of the dishes on the roof for 53 East), so will get a couple of shots.

It's lost the blue cover, but you get the idea.

C120 flange and four bolt fitting, clamp is (I think) 26mm.

Thanx for the photo m8.

Attached is a photo of the complete setup i want installing on my dish.

1. smw prime focus feedhorn xm-140
2. smw WDL TYPE E Lnb
3. cal amp wide band lnb
4. OMT + 90 bend

The current mounting kit i have (shown in previous post pic 1) is useless for this type of setup, so i will need a feed support clamp that takes the smw feedhorn and fits on the end of the four feed support arms also the clamping boss must be compatible with smw feedhorn (neck 23 mm) . I must say one thing the whole kit weighs a tons especially the smw wdl lnb. Balancing the weight will be crucial to get it dead center (level), don't want it protruding up in the sky or the ground.

Thanx

I will measure the feed diameter tomorrow, I only did a rough check to find it was 26mm. Of course the clamp I have here fits the feed perfectly and is tightened using two allen bolts. At the other end of the clam, there is enough 'meat' to allow drilling a hole or two to fit it dead centre on the plate in your last photo.

No, a parapit wall that was built by some muppet claiming to be a builder back in 1994. Due to be removed completely over the winter.

Well, the rain stopped me from doing much after work today, so I'll hop up again at the weekend and take some more measurements.

Btw, which dish are you using, and if available, the f/d ratio ?
These feeds work better on a deeper dish.
