The Sleepy Hollow pollracle has spoken!

The other day, when it was actually sunny and warm, I heard a load of starlings chattering away, I looked about on the local chimneys & aerials, but I couldn't see a thing, then I looked at the tops of my Leylandii trees, and there they were, in a big group!!! I had to get my camera out for this one!!!

Some pics from Israel

I have noticed a large number of birds these days in Israel whereas 30 years ago there were not many at all as I recall. Presumably as the vegetation increases so do the insects and then the birds Last one is obviously not a bird but a colourful cricket type insect

What a Bird

My cousin is a complete outdoor nut, he goes all over GB and Europe bivouacking with his Mrs and the dogs. Last week they called in at the Pen-y Ghent Falconry Center. What a magnificent bird a falcon is, but aren't 2 and 3 an eagle? I'm sure Rolf will answer this

These photos were taken out the windows of my workplace this afternoon. Two days of temperatures down at minus 10C but very still conditions have allowed thick hoar frost to build up on the trees
