My System: IDD CI24 ECONO MM Penta 1.20 Galaxy II 1.2Mtr Polar MTG yes it has been on the arc for 21 years and is still driven by a modified wiper motor from a Ford Anglia. It's like me sometimes groans but always performs ![]() Saved us from the black plague of ignoratio elenchi, he awaits a special badge with jugs |
Looks more like milk, either that or my eyes have been affected by the chlorine

My System: channel master 1.2m dish technomate 6900,,and invacom 0.3 quad lnb satlook micro | nice pics redevil its something ive been wanting to try since i got my d70,thats about 12 months ago can you remember what settings you used as im a set it to auto photographer ![]() | ||

My System: Sky+ Multiroom,Thompson PVR, Dreambox 7000S, 300gig HDD, 1.1m Dish, Moteck SG-2100A DISEQC Motor, Gemini image, 2g USB Stick. ![]() A defender of the Remote Control Brigade, Sir R can flick channels faster than a Robben dive | iwol The Nikon D70 you own is a superb Camera... i know im a Nikon man myself ![]() the settings for this kind of shot (and any other) depend on the conditions, how bright it is is very important for Long exposure shots... so are different each time this is because cameras are designed to drag in as much light as possible... and the better cameras do this the best... they have to because usually they have the fastest shutter speed, meaning they have to suck in as much light as possible in 1/1600 of a second or more. so if you understand that, then you will understand that during the day.. leaving the shutter open for 10 seconds!! will usually result in a picture really over exposed.... and you end up with just a white picture. The more popular Long Exposure shots... the ones at night were all the cars leave light trails red/white are easier because its night time and is dark to start with ![]() so try this for a daytime Long Exp. ISO 100 shutter speed 10 secs F29 (higher the better) now take the picture, if its too dark drop the F stop down a little lower and re try. If its still to light!! it must be a very sunny day, try and shoot from the shade or with the sun behind you... failing all that you need a ND filter, to darken the shot ![]() oh, and is if i need to mention this.... you need to use a tripod too the slightest movement in the 10 seconds, and everything goes blurry..whoops

Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum. | I would guess Manual would be the best for the job, I presume you have a choice of Programme, Aperture, Shutter and Manual? Nice shots Red.
