My System: Sky + looking for best patced receiver and motorised setup.
Thumbs up Satcatcher or Technomate

Apologies, cos this has bound to have been asked before.
I am going to move house soon and i will be taking my sky+ with me but i intend adding a new motorised system with patched receiver as well, mainly for the football that sky dont show but also to have a play around with to see what can be found.
I have seen plenty of good things about Technomate but not a lot about Satcatcher.
My main queries are
1. Is there plenty of updated patching info available for both makes ?
2. If Technomate which model is best option ?
3. Could Setanta sports channels be picked up on any of these receivers ?

I have seen this package available on an auction site what do you think ? The seller has 100% feedback.

Many thanks

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Satcatcher are certainly a nice receiver, probably better than the Technomate in operation, but Technomate is better supported on "unofficial" software patches. I tried out a Voyager III a few months back and was very impressed.

You won't get Setanta on it, you will need to use your Sky Digibox.
