Best Digital Receiver?

I'm thinking about buying a new digital receiver. I have a Aston 1.3 cam. I would like a receiver with an embedded cam and 2 CI slots. Can anyone recommend a digital receiver I should buy?

RE: Best Digital Receiver?

The Humax F1 VAC-1 with twin cam and embedded Viacess, works well for me, but several others at competitve prices available (see "what satellite" magazine).

RE: Best Digital Receiver?

You need to specify exactly what you need.

For example - do you want analogue as well?
How many CI-slots (one or two?)
You say you wnat an embedded CAM but don't say which kind... Viaccess? Irdeto? other?
Do you want it for a motorised system? If so do you want a proper positioner built-in or will a DiSEqC 1.2 jobbie do?
Should it be capable of C-band reception or just Ku-band?
Should it be capable of NTSC and SECAM reception or just PAL?
etc etc.

All these things can be catered for but few receivers have them all and so the risk is that unless you clearly decide what you want you will make an expensive mistake.
