Fortec Star Beta, can it be patched

can a fortec star beta reiever be patched or will i need to upgrade to a reiever with ci and use a cam like diablo ????????????

please help, very new to all this

Hi, Yes it can, but the support is cr*p.

With the right Nag2 keys you can open _D+.
Not sure what else though, as putting in keys is too much hassle as it can only be done with the remote, and they change them 3 times a day.


You are much better off getting a technomate TM1000D (no CI or cards)
or a TM1500+ CI (CI + cards). Cost of these about £60 for the 1000 and £85 ish for the 1500. Very good support for these and many packages openable with softcams or official cards.

Alpha software works with the beta.. ***** has some support for this box aswell, but there is nothing up to date.. But Hey, for the money its not bad, even if you have to input keys yourself, its part of the fun
