If your going to get the 1500, consider the vantage. I think its a far superior receiver

Dont buy from there though, you will find it cheaper.

My System: Technomate 1500ci+super

so are they both as easy to patch or is one better than the other for patching out of the two technomates... if they are both just as good for patching i will get the one with the 2 card slots and 2 ci... if not then it will be the TM-1500+ci

please does anyone know, ive got the chance of getting either box for a good price but dont want to get the higher model with 2 ci iif the 1500 is better for patching... both units are patched at the min but obviously they will need doing again for upgrade patches...

please help

If you want the newest patches you would be better off with the 1500, as the patches for the 7755 takes a long while( last patch 29/08/06), whilst for the 1500 the lastest patch was on 10/8/07, and are a lot more frequent.

Would be interesting if a 7755 owner could confirm this.

My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

Also the softcam for the 1000 series (needed for _D+,premiere etc-Astra1) is updated whenever the keys change. There doesn't appear to be a softcam for the 7755. Also on the 7755 a number of keystrokes are required for the AU to function on _TPS(Hotbird), wheras on the 1000 series you just go to the right freq. and wait a little.

Re: au on vantage

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

wise choice, vantage is a far superior quality product.
the blind scan alone is worth having it will find 30% more feeds then any other stb on the market.
add to that it reads sly uk cards without the need of a cam if you get a 2 ca model.
patch support A+ , i'm very happy with the two i have.

buying tip get it from gremany, satking.de great prices.

Vantage VT-X201S FTA £51
Vantage VT-X211S 2xca (Conax and multicrypt) £58.46
Vantage VT-X201S 2xCI £60
Vantage VT-X211S 2ci + 2ca £67
Vantage VT-X221TS 2ci + 2ca DVB-S + DVB-T Combo £98.69 (UK price £139..lol)

There is also a pop up box, for editing keys.

None of the Vantange receivers listed on the various sites have got CA as part of the model name...

Unless CA indicated the 2 in built cams, Conax and Multicrypt
