Nobody know what mini satellite system is?
It’s a kind of satellite system that you can install it in your house or apartment or whatsoever. They are small and are like the ones that are been used by the articulated-lorries or tractor-trailers.
But the fact is that I want to know that is it true that we can use it as a normal receiver that receives 1000 or more channels.

My System: Pace Sky HD, DM7000s, CubeRevo 3000HDPVR, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Televes H45 Digital Spectrum analyser.

Yes you can, a dish is a dish, it does of course need to be big enough for the satellite you wish to receive.

PS. I moved these posts as you had tagged them onto a thread which had nothing to do with mini satellite systems.

You mean that it depends on the location, too.
Here, people have mostly used the Humax ones. The result was not that much interesting!
They need to change it with Strong 4620II or something else, ofcourse greater dish, and stronger LNBs.

So, what’s the prob?

I don't wanna change mine, but I'm interested in them for a couple of months.

In the ME, my idea is that the Hotbird signals are strong enough to receive them with any kind of receiver and LNBs.

Check the footprint for HB and it would give you an indication of the dish size for the specific location.
I don't think a mini dish system with say 45cm would be large enough in ME.
