Hi Jules,
How long have you had the box, I only got mine 3 weeks ago and up to now I'm very pleased with it but as I said the Protek forum doesn't seem very good, at least not as good as the Nano forum, as you know the protek is a clone of the Nano but I don't know if they use the same servers?

Regards,

Dave

Hi Dave,
I have had the box about two months, I believe there are going to be more servers added. I am looking forward to R.G.B. option in the menu to get a better picture. They say that is coming soon.
Jules.

There's another forum for the nanoxx which has much more support. It's the same box, the same hardware, and uses the same software. It's better than the Protek site, but that's not saying much.

Yes Dave.

You can find the NanoXX site with Google, I think it's at the top, or very near it.

I to have recently got one of these boxes and agree that the protek forum is very basic. Pleased with the box though - there's a bewildering amount of stuff open on it, just wish the support was a little better. Any chance of opening a discussion section on the Protek 9600 IP on this site?

Supposed to be back on line this week after a major upgrade, like all this sort of stuff there's no guarrantees.

I suppose the server has to be outside the E.U. but Russia doesn't give me the greatest confidence

Looking at buying a Nano, is the picture as good as normal or is it distorted or pixilated?

Hi reaney,

Got the Protek version with the same soft, picture is good most of the time, but there has been occasional problems with drop out in the past, only seemed to affect one package at a time, mostly Cy*ra.

If you know Billy B he's getting one this week-end

Getting mixed messages. Both the Protek and Nanoxx forums are closed with respect to the 9600 IP. They say they will be back in 1-2 weeks. Last time it took more like a month. Some are saying that it could be over for the support for this STB. Hope not. Only had mine six weeks!
