My System: 1m Motorised dish with especta es-1130s receiver !!
Any Ideas?

Hi, so i went shopping today and bought approximately 0 of what i went out to buy, i did instead (due to living here) manage to buy th efollowing...(which came as a package !!!!)

1 metre dish cw GT-LST40 universal 0.3dB LNB
and an especta 1130 Receiver (yes i know you've never heard of it) £65 the pack (it includes various leads and some very dubious quality cable !)

I did find some 1.2 metre dishes but i think they were made of polythene ! (£26)

also managed to find A 4120 motor (2100 out of stock!) £33

So having trawled the city for something i wanted i settled on this...anyway, by the time i got home it was very dark so just plugged the receiver into my existing 80cm dish..pointing at 19E...just to see what happens..

Easy enough to find my way around it, once of course i managed to get the language out of Bulgarian and into English..lots of channels..

This is besides the point, what i don't understand is the whole key process, i have checked the keys on the system and they correspond with those listed online but the channel remains scrambled, which of course it jolly well should unless i'm paying for it !! is there something i may be missing ?
Is there an easy way to check what should and shouldn't be working ?

Thanks in advance

and yes a technomate would have been nice...

Mmmm

I do not really understand what the question is here, are you suggesting the receiver was patched when you bought it, or are you using a CAM?

So

Well I find it hard to believe that a chainstore would sell illegal equipment off the shelf, they could end up with a big lawsuit against them
If you do not know what the patch is then you do not know what emulators are running this could be the reason you are unable to view extra channels. What channels were you hoping to watch?

My System: TM6800HD+TD110+StabHH90 motor,TM1000D+Orbital 1m Multifeed 16E,23E,28E.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

I would suggest that you get your motor up and running. There are plenty of free to air channels to watch, if you hunt around and have a look on Lyngsat, flyssat,Kingofsat etc.

The thing is that receiver, nobody has probably heard of it, and to get patches for it may be a very remote possibility. Even if it was patched it is probably out of date and needs redoing. Maybe if you hunt around enough you may find some unnofficial support for it, maybe you won't. I think I said before, make sure you get a receiver that has support, if that is what you want to do with it. It makes life a lot easier. As far as I know, there is only Premiere on 19.2E anyway, and it may not have reached some of the less well known units.

My System: 1m Motorised dish with especta es-1130s receiver !!

In truth what ever i can get, i was hoping there maybe something simple i could test out on 19E
Tomorrow i will install the motor and 1 metre dish and then i am hoping to be able to watch general interest English language channels, Films, Football, Boxing and general sport, and just generally bugger about seeing what i can find..
The entry code for the keys was menu then 8888, if thats of any help....
i found that from a bulgarian site..
The sales staff wanted me to buy this model because it had a card slot and could use one of the local packages, Bulsat or ITV Partner, i had previously read online at another specialist store that it was patchable etc.

Sounds promising, you'll have to dig around a little.
It might be worth investigating whether the Bulgarian subscription shows any English. Besides, when you get your motor going you will have a lot more choice. I'm watching Mission Impossible 2 right now, totally free, unencrypted, 26E is a good satellite, if you can get it.

Hi Robbo, yes i realise you advised me correctly, hence the technomate comment, i was looking for an echolink 777 but couldn't find one, but had found plenty of support in english language for it...
Shopping in Bulgaria isn't quite as simple as in the UK..got to take what you can get mostly..
The hardware and software date claim to be january 2007 and the most recent software update i've found so far is june 07...
When i checked the installed keys for BBC Prime and others they were the same as those allready installed on my receiver..

Jan 2007, that explains it. You won't get Premiere with that, it is too out of date.

In the UK getting sat stuff locally, where I am, it is not that easy to find a local shop. But there are plenty of online stores to choose from, and many of them ship overseas, including quite a few in Germany.

I did look at ordering online, drawback is waiting for it and paying postage...of course it would probably mean less problems !
If the softwar eis Jan 07, how did the receiver get the current keys on it ? is it possible it self updates ? or may the keys not have changed in a year ?
Am looking forward to the motor install in the morning, have studied the install guide on here and others so fingers crossed will go smoothely, then will have alook for 26..
There are english channels on the local packages, but am hoping to find enough without subscriptions....fingers crossed..

Yes, it is possible that some have not changed, the AU will only work when you are tuned in, if it has it.

My System: 1m Motorised dish with especta es-1130s receiver !!

Well, what a day !!! didn't start so well, that lovely motor was a dead one, so back into town, some cufuffel and had a refund, then off to find another motor, all i could manage was a Sat Control, SaTracer 3 sw ... its a motor and has twin LNB input... and above all it works !!
Well after getting all wound up with a dud motor this morning, i kinda went at it a bit bullish with the new motor this afternoon !!
I think tomorrow i need to start again as i'm sure i've done something wrong, not sure what as yet..
At this point in time i have found and stored astras at 19E Hotbirds at 13E Eutelsat at 16E Nilesat AB4, Badr2,3....have run out of patience for now found theese with E-W search manualy from th eremote.

The curious thing is the channels available, not having touched the software or keys, can receive eurosport from hotbird, BBC Prime, MTV Base, and several other channels that i shouldn't, the same applies to random channels from Eutelsat, there seems to be no pattern with regard service provider or encryption type.... no doubt with time i may work it out some more !!

Incidently, i went back to the store where they bought the receiver to get the motor, and they had a lesser model especta receiver on display, showing eurosport on a massive plasma from Hotbird, no card or anything....
Patched off the shelf !!

Yes, some of the keys may not have changed for a while. Also TPS is doing something funny at the moment and is very easy to open.
