My System: technomate reciever 5500 ci super, astra 28.2 E and nilesat 7w
help with finding premiere etc on our technomate box

Please can anyone provide any help?

I am living in the Canary Islands and I have got a Tecnomate TM 5500 ci and two set dishes at 28.2 and 19.2 East. We also have a T-Rex twin module cam with no card. I am a complete novice and would like some starting points. I would like to watch more premiere league and Spanish football and having visited LJs think the best way to go is premiere sport portal or galaxie sport but I have no idea how to receive them or if they are hackable.

I also only know how to search and how to enter frequencies, like I said a complete novice.

As I am just starting out any help will be greatly appreciated.

What size dish do you have? That may be a factor in determining where the problem lies.

The one dish is 1.2m and that is pointing at 28.2east. The other is a very small dish that is pointed at 19.2e.

Thanks.

Currently both Premiere, 19,2E, and Digi TV, Galaxy sports, 1W, are both open with patches and/or the Dragon cam.
Can you enter your Dragon Cams menu, using your receivers remote, and please tell us what version of Predator is loaded.
For full channel information, for premiere, check here:
_http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/premiere.html
You should also be able to find the Astra 1 footprint, on the site, to tell you what size dish you require for your location.

I don't know what very small means, but judging by the footprints (1G and 1H) anything below 75cm will be a problem. You may have more luck by fitting a 2nd LNB on your 1.2m dish ( you can bodge it to start off with)

The Astra 1KR and 1L satellites will be an easier catch.

Alternatively, get a bigger dish for 19.2E, a 1m looks more suitable, check with your local satellite shop.

The latest Predator firmware is 364, and you will need to upgrade your cams firmware, have you got a card programmer or a Cas 3?

Very easy to get, and use, I recommend the Cas 3 + as it is more versatile and easy to use, try our sponsors,

Ive just looked in the local paper and there is a card programmer for sale. I dont think it comes with any equipment but it does say for updating firmware. Would you still advise investing in a cam 3 or will the cheap option work enough.

Thank you for all your help so far.

Thanks

Well

I would suggest you stick with the cas 3+ as what you have described could be anything and more than likely no good for what you require
