I can see these channels are part of the canalsat France package on Astra 19 degs East, but i could of sworn blind these were FTA, can anyone confirm what the deal is with these chs, and if they are all FTA on any other sat, or are they free still only on Analouge ??

if only part of the canalsat France, anyone know how much a card is ?

much appreciated any help on this, thanks.

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S

TF1 is not fta in digital anywhere.

France 2 3 &5 are fta digital on 5W for the time being.

CanalSat cards are NOT cheap if you need to use a UK reseller.

mmm well i need to get astra/hotbird and these french chs. so without going the sub route i may have an old analouge box to get these all on analouge fta, but not sure about the tv being secam compatable.

suppose i could setup 19e/13e/5w off a 90cm dish, never tried ?

that way got everything on digital, and if the tv is secam compat, then could run a seperate cable from 5w lnb to the analouge box and all sorted?

I suspect 19E to 5W might be pushing it a bit.

These channels are also part of the Bis package (ABSat) on Hot Bird 13E
But the signal quality as measured using a bitrate monitor is not as good as the TPS Hot Bird 13E and presumably also on Astra 19.2E
Please read this thread:
AB SAT Package

Best thing to do is get a subscription for the Canal Sat from Astra 19.2E encrypted in Seca (Mediaguard). You will need an AstonCrypt CAM if your box can handle CI CAMs.

The price is surprisingly not too expensive as you can see from this recent thread. Also it gives you a link to the shop. (post #4)

really ?

its not much differnt to 28e/19e/13e off one dish. point at 19e and offset the other 2, that works fine. (end to end lnb total 15 degs)

or 19e/13e/5w point at 13e and offset the other 2. (end to end lnb 18degs)

can anyone confirm if they have acheived this off a 90cm, i would of thought this would of been fine but have never tried so stand corrected if not possible ?

Please remember that once you buy a smartcard, it may not be possible to add any more options during the subscription period.
For example, if you buy a card and then you want to add the cinema option.
