My System: I am not sure
Channel Unscrambler Set Top Box

I recently got this system which can get almost all channels for free.
It uses Internet to unscramble channels, I plug a LAN cable between my router and set top box. I want to know how it works or if anyone has a system similar to mine.

It is called ANT NT-700. I have googled it and I can't find anything about this system.

I hooked up the box with my computer to monitor network traffic. I found that it was communicating with some server in South Korea, I live in the Middle East.

I'm kind of new to satellite stuff so I dont know much.

There is a legitimate subscription in a receiver somewhere. This is also connected to the internet via a router and the keys on the card for the subscription are shared across the net to other uses. There is plenty of information about card sharing & how it works on the forum if you want to know more.

Thanks. But I'm just wondering how it's able to unscramble channels from virtually any subscription.

The card server will be off line - a common problem with these systems..

Theres nothing you can do until it comes back (if it ever does - its not unknown for them to just vanish). Until then enjoy the free channels.

My System: Covering 30W-105.5E range, two motors, C and Ku band. Various receivers/cards/cams/etc.

That system is called X-Share. It also exists as PC software for more cheap, with only COM port equipped receivers. Subscription fee WAS $100/yr, 2 years ago, have no idea how it works and pricing today.

If you do some traffic analysis, you will discover, this box connecting server somewhere in china. Which is just relay by my thoughts.

Same datastream is beaming from 21.6E

There are receivers with two tuners, where you connect two dishes to same receiver, one dish is at 21.6E, another at satellite you wish to unscramble.

"virtually all channels" are quite limited. I have complete list of watchable packages somewhere, can try to find this .doc file again, if anyone interested.
