Don't think they are that widespread, but you'll probably also find that not many people will have tried both in direct comparison.

The other question is what do you mean by better, as this is a relative term, a better tuner, easier to patch, more patches available?

If you already have the TM1500ci, you probably wouldn't gain anything by switching to this box.
