Metronic Touchbox 4 help

Some advice please. A friend (honest) has bought this setup from Maplins to use in France. We tried to set it up and we cannot receive any signal.
Has onyone used this system and do you have any tips.

Hi, Welcome to the forum.

Firstly, what size dish did it come with?
(measure accross it).

The dish will need to be accurately pointed at your chosen satellite.

Do you know where you want to point the dish?

The usual choices to start off with are Astra2/Eurobird1 (28E), Astra1(19E) and Hotbird(13E).

Sky UK use 28E, so this is where most of the English channels are.

Thanks.. Its an 80cm dish.

Will have a read of those sites and post back my successes/failures tomorrow
