Blocking DC to LNB with capacitor

I am using a Technomate 1000D without an LNB to receive a signal that is being transmitted on the IF frequency (1.3 Ghz)

The aerial is a BiQuad that has an DC resistance of 0 Ohms so I have turned off the LNB power supply and 22 KHz in the setup.

The box works correctly under these conditions but fails to start up from a mains off/on situation.

If I power it up and connect the aerial afterwards it works fine but if I cycle the mains off and on, it will not start up until the the aerial has been disconnected.

I suspect that it does a check at startup to ensure that the LNB is not a short circuit.

To overcome this, an engineer has suggested that I put a capacitor in series with the aerial connection to block the DC to the LNB.

So my question is, what value of capacitor would you suggest?

Thanks for your attention,
