dodgy set top boxes in the market

hi. i live in kuwait.

satellite tv in kuwait is expensive and limited compared to most countries so many people look for alternative solutions such has hacked set top boxes or card sharing or a mix of both.

I decided to check out where people get these from and the models of different receivers. There are loads of small shops in a place in Kuwait called Hawally. Most of them on the outside have legal stuff sold, but if you ask them quietly "do you have the box that can get all channels free". They call some guy on the phone and after about 15 minutes some guy with a plastic bag will appear.

I asked what different kinds do you have. The guy said he has a few but he showed me 2 of them. One was called ANT and the other LifeTime. He said ANT is crap and LifeTime is good.I have heard of Fortec LifeTime but I don't think this was Fortec. He was selling it for kd 70 which is around 130 sterling. I think these boxes use card sharing because he said you plug the receiver to the net.

I've googled these models but I can't find any info on them on where they get these from or how badly they are ripping people off in price.

Any info here?

Welcome to the forum sathunt. to be honest whilst we do not mind anyone discussing the technical details about CS however it is forbidden to ask for or offer anything to do with card sharing as stated in the rules. So far you have not broken any rules at all, however there is a reluctance within the CS community to share details or advice. There are very good technical reasons for this. The more people a particular server shares the unlocking information with the more chance there is that their own connection server will be overloaded leading to them losing their quality programming. The only time we hear from these people is when their CS server disappears or is overloaded. As with anything apart from a genuine subscription to a package there is an element of risk involved this is no different
