My System: Aston Xena 1700 85cm Dish
Question Connecting Aston Xena 1700 to PC - Help

wonder if anyone can help?

I have two satellite receivers - Aston Xena 1700 and a Technomate 5500 CI Plus that has been patched to be a Next 2000. I cannot connect them to my PC. All I get is 'can't read STB error' or 'unable to connect to receiver'.
Do you have to have the receiver connected to the dish?

I have tried two different null modem cables but still no joy.

My System: No setup

As I recall you need a kind of dongle and a null-modem cable to connect with your xena. Ofcourse you need also aston flash.
