My System: Alden 80cn fullymotorised Humax Freesat
Green as Grass

Hi i am new to satellites so please bear with me, i live on my barge and have struggled to get tv reception so bought an Alden 80cm motorised dish that can has presets for Astra 1, Astra 2 N, Astra 2S, Hotbird, AB 3, and hispasat, it was supposed to come with a receiver but didnt, anyway i went to Comet told them what i had and the sold me a Humax Freesat receiver , this works fine but i naively assumed i would get thousands of channels not 80 ish at the moment, any advice on what i need to do to get a much larger selection.

Thanks in advance

My System: TM6800HD+TD110+StabHH90 motor,TM1000D+Orbital 1m +Moteck motor.45E to 45W. 2 x minidishes.DigitAlB movies. A Bigsat BS-S77CX and a Sky Dodgibox.

Hi,

To start with you need to put the receiver into FTA mode, is it the Foxsat HD one?

Then you should be able to gain access to the Diseqc settings, hopefully it would have Diseqc1.2 for a motor. If not, you need to get a different receiver.

My System: 43cm Dish, Sky Plus v2, Thomson DSI4214, FRACARRO PENTA 85cm, Invacom Twin, Moteck SG2100a H-H DiSEqC Motor, TF5000CI, TM-5200D, Sling Media, Rover Discovery ST-4, Rover SDM-1s, 57E to 58W, Tecatel 1.35m fixed on 28e, Pace D5430-N

Yes have to agree, a standard T/mate receiver would have been a done job for your set up without any problems
