Tuner Sensitivity - Recommendations

I need to replace my old Nokia 9600S with e new receiver. Could anyone please point me in the direction of the receivers with the most sensitive tuners and best ability to get a lock on frequencies with low symbol rates (less than 3000) based on their practical experience?

Reading the specs of the tuners for various models there are quite a few claiming they will get to the low symbol rates I require and claiming low threshold tuning. However, I think that the manufacturers claimed figure and reality can be different hence my asking for recommendations based on experience of the tuners.

I am considering the Manhattan XT range but am open to suggestions.
