My System: Just Sky Plus, nothing too advanced! |
Hi everyone ![]() I'm new here, but it looks like people round here have a wealth of information! i hope I've posted this in the right place I'm doing some research into the BBC and was hoping someone could help me out, i need to find information on which conditional access system the BBC uses and if its more than one depending on the service they provide, i don't know very much about conditional access at the moment, but I'm reading up and if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be most appreciated. Thanks a lot Matt.

My System: Just Sky Plus, nothing too advanced! | I understand that the majority of BBC channels are free-to-air and that they formally used Videoguard for their conditional access, can anyone tell me if they still use Videoguard for their premium channels or have they switched to a different system?

My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 5 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/13E/16E /19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | All BBC channels on 28E are fta. As you say they formerly used NDS Videoguard. BBC channels around the world use various scrambling systems depending on which pay service they are part of.
