My System: Freesat box: Goodmans GFSAT100SD
Question Signal 87%

Hi all,

We’ve just moved house and found we could no longer use freeview so have opted for a FreeSat box as the Satellite dish was already installed on the house.
We bought a Goodmans GFSAT100SD and set it all up without touching the dish. We assume the previous owner had Sky, but have no idea.
Our signal seemed good at 87% and we have lots of channels, but there are about six that are named, but come up as “no Signal” when we try them. The channels are “Chart Hits” and “pop Girl” to name a couple.

My question is then is why can’t I get these channels? Is it due to the signal only being around 87%? I’m scared of moving the dish in case I mess it up and lose all the channels. I can’t afford to pay for someone to set this up for me, so that’s not an option.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

My System: 43cm Dish, Sky Plus V2, Thomson DSI6210 Sky+160, Thomson DSI4214, FRACARRO PENTA 85cm, Invacom Twin, Moteck SG2100a H-H DiSEqC Motor, TF5000CI, TM-5200D, Sling Media, Rover ST-4, Rover SDM-1s, 57E to 58W, Tecatel 1.35m fixed on 28e, Pace D5430-N

Welcome,

Signal is fine and shows around that on many freesat receivers.

check you have no DECT cordless base stations close by as it's around those frequencies that interference can occur (11.642) normally showing picture blocking on Sly receivers.

Not that I know of.

Normally they cause picture blocking on Sly receivers but interestingly a no signal message on a freesat receiver.
