Any way to answer your question its probably being done by card share - and theres loads of info about that across the forum.

Thanks for the reply sir I really am new bie in sattelite systems and I was just curious for buying one for my self and using for personal use , and the any info was meant as what kind of process is used so as you mentioned its card sharing so at least for the start I know what kind of process is used , basically as I have seen is a mutant 200s was brought from Uk to Spain, as I live here, so the only thing the person who bought this receiver from uk did was plug the ethernet cable of router to the receiver and connect the cable with dish and he is just watching encrypted paid channels , thats only I wanted to know if there was some firmware change or some hacking in the reciver or what but as its card sharing I will read more on it.

thanks

There is a new generation of receivers that have the card shares built into them (Nanoxx Maxx etc).

HOWEVER recently the fatal flaw in their operation has recently been revealed - the pay tv providers being defrauded went after the servers hosting the cards / keys and got them closed down.

Result thousands of unhappy users lost their pay channels and now have expensive free to air receivers only!

If the Mutant is on a similar system there is no guarantee how long it will stay active.

I suppose its on same type but some people are using mutant 200s for more than 1 year and still no problem so the card sharing the provider who is selling or giving these receivers have more secure system or some thing like that.

There is no security system in the world that will stop a sledgehammer
More than likely the server is hosted in a country where the authorities are either not very technologically savvy or they have just not got round to it yet. I have no doubt there will be cat and mouse games for a long time to come, unfortunately this does not guarantee uninterrupted viewing and is therefore not advised. Small shares amongst a small group of people will be harder to trace and shut down, human beings however tend to be greedy and keep adding and adding making their share ring so big they eventually make themselves a target.
