My System: I have a max 1000 receiver. Two dishes one for Nilesat and one for Hotbird.
Thumbs up Which receiver is best??

Hi Friends,

I am in UAE. I have Maxx1000 receiver, but from 2-3 months its server

has been down. And it seems that it will not be back.

Now I am thinking of changing my receiver.

Can you suggest a receiver like Maxx1000 for me? Also I want to know

that is it better to have MPEG-4 receiver or not??

Waiting for your replies!!

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

No idea I'm afraid, as these servers are prone to disappearing, it has nothing to do with the receiver, it is all down to the sellers and how long they will support the receiver for, or if they can keep the server online, faced with the owners of the copyright trying to close them down..

No idea I'm afraid, as I have no experience of these internet server receivers, you can get an MPEG 4 CAM for not very much money.
