My System: 'Fortec Star Passion' (& a dead SL65) One of them big Woks on the outside, and a thingy that moves it about a bit.
FORTEC STAR DIGITAL SATELLITE RECEIVER FSCI-5100 DIAMOND Any Good?

I know its a few years old, but need a basic system for SWMBO to watch the soaps in the bedroom?

Any comments?

My System: Sky+, DB 7000s, Gemini 4.3 in flash, Var on USB stick. Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Unaohm EP313, Swires Annie 204 Spectrum, Rover ST-4 Spectrum.

Why not get her a Freesat receiver, as it will have proper EPG.

Looking for a cheepy so she can watch Coro in the bedroom

Check out our forum supporting advertisers, I know a couple of them do Freesat boxes and they aren't expensive.

Did a search on Southern satellites £150 for a box!

That is for an HD box, try CDtronix, they have the Goodmans SD box, used one of these and they are a nice receiver.
