My System: TM6800HD, TM1000, TM600 Linux,TM5200, TM2200 motor, Triax TD110 dish + Fortec 85cm. Meter=Satlook Micro+G2 NIT

It depends on what you want to do with it, and how much effort and learning you want to do receiver wise.

The TM5400 or the TM6800/6900 HD are a very easy start to the hobby, and very capable receivers.

The Linux receivers such as the Dreamboxes are undoubtedly the best you can get, but it is horses for courses really.

I need a receiver that can do a full blind scan i have just read that the technomate can not do this. I have been in the satellite game for years but due to the fact of living in a flat i had to put up with a fixed dish so i have not been in to it much,

The only receiver i have at this time is a manhattan xt which i have used with a fixed dish but i hate the receiver is is a really bad receiver. I have other receivers in storage but they are a few years old now,

Can any mods merge this thead with the other thead i posted in this section I can now put a dish up. thank you

How good would one be on bbc hd VS a sky hd box in terms of video quality?.

I think that the super versions of the TM6XXX series do have a blind scan.
