My System: 4 systems. In Scotland Sky with Pace 2600C1. In Costa del Sol 1.3 meter offset with Inv quad 0.3 LNB with pace 2600C1. In Algarve 1.5 fixed Inv Quad LNB with 4 Pace 2600C1 also 80cm dish with Inverto 0.2db monoblock LNB 4.8E/1W and TM_5400C1+ USB |
What's the difference between the super and the non super versions. I have the TM5400CI+USB. Can I convert it into a super and is it worth it?

| I can't find the manuals in order to compare specifications, but in one of the shops they stress that the "super" has a "super sensitive tuner for very weak signals". Without the actual specification data, it is difficult to compare. | ||

My System: 75e-75w C & KU, 36v h-h /36v & diseqc actuators / diseqc -USALS motors / Anlg to HD Channel Masters C120s dishes, stb's inc echo3000, lnbs, meters, custom polar mounts & elevation/incline actuator conversions... | As I understand it, Allegedly… ....the 5400 had bugs in it, some of which couldn't be fixed by a software fix (some could ..like the bug that stopped you reloading a program list ) .. so they brought out the super ... a hardware/ software bug fix with a few extra bits too. Don't think they are any more sensitive than the 5400 or 1000s -about the same but the numbers have been messed with - signal strength can read too high at any time -even pointing north... and quality bars have had 10% added so break up is about 49% instead of 39% and can drop off too quick below lock......... all numbers have been increased .... bit like .... it used to go up to 10 ... now it goes up to 11.…. allegedly
