Well, first of all, sky+ needs a dish, not an aerial as they are two completely different technologies. Second, this is the analogue section, and sky+ is digital, and has it's own section...

But anyway, just buy a minidish with a Quad LNB off Ebay, then, once aligned (28.2 degrees East of South), put a thick green garden refuse sack over it to hide it, the signal will not be blocked by the sack, then just run the cables to where you need them...

I think your car looks funny too......

My System: Zone1, DSI8215 SkyHD, Thomson DSI4214, TF5000CI, Dreambox DM800 HD PVR - Nab BH0.12, TM-5200D, Gibertini 104cm, SNH-031, 36v Actuator, Vbox-II, 42°E to 30°W, Sling Media, Televes H45 Digital Processing Analyser, Satlook Micro+G2 NIT, Rover SDM 1s

Might also be worth checking if you have permissions to install any aerials/dishes on the building first.

ModerationMoved from Analogue section

As long as the dish has a clear line of sight.
You can mount the dish onto the lashing bracket. Don't drill into the chimney.

Normally Single skin, poor brickwork, poor mortar, not strong enough, not professional.

My System: chaparral montery 40 fully loaded ehcostar ad3600ipvia 3 dishes zone 2 / 1 mt motorized / 2.3 m motorized

you can drill in to the chimney
but make sure it is in very good condition first bricks and mortar
i have seen where people have fitted dishes on chimney stacks i.e. sky dishes bolted to a couple of bricks and you get a phone call my sky has gone off can you please sort it for me
you go round and ask them where there dish is on the stack you are told you look up and ask where all there is is a chimney with a hole in its side where the dish bracket has ripped the bricks out and no sighn of the dish any where
saw this once on a 3 story shop in nottingham on a very bussy main road with a 60 cm annalog sky dish hole in the side of the chimney and no sighn of the dish any where never did find it
lets face it a sky dish falling from 50 ft with 3 bricks attatched to it very dangeruse if it had landed on some one it would have killed them for sure
fairly modern stacks are single brick thats a no no for sertain older chimneys are 9 in brick my chimney is from front to back is 3 ft and from end to end is 8 ft with 5 flues in a row and i have a 1 m motorized dish on it been there for about 20 years but it is on t and k brackets the t bracket is on the chimney in the loft and the k bracket is on the chmney just above the roof with a 6 foot scaffold pole going through the roof with lead collar on it to keep the weather out
t and k brackets should be fitted the other way round with the k brack at the bottom as it the k bracket that takes all the weight but didnt have much room but as there is over 6 feet of chimney above the brackets didnt realy matter but still check it every month to be on the safe side
