My System: None Yet |
Hi all, Im new to the sat scene, and this forum. I m moving to a new house and would like to fit a system but have no idea what is the best. The house has a mini dish installed and thats it. I want to really have access to prem footy like in the pub, but if its not too much extra i would like a motorised set up. I have been doing a bit of reserch but would like your opinion. So should i go for a dreambox and CS Or a diffrent reciver with patches? obviosly money is an issue i wanted to spend about £500 total on the system. So what do you think? Cheers stu

Blog Entries: 1 My System: Sky UK. FTA analogue & digital satellite from 6 fixed dishes (5E/7E/9E/10E/13E/16E/ 19E/23E/28E) Pace MSS100, Echostar IP3000VA, Technomate TM-1000D, Dreambox 7020S ![]() The last noble sat warrior to fly the olden flag of Analogue | A dreambox is not a good receiver for a beginner to the satellite hobby - they are high end enthusiasts machines that can take months to get to grips with properly. Football is currently available with receiver patches, although this route will disappear in a few weeks time when the DigiTV encryption is tightened up. If you want lots of guaranteed 3pm football you need a subscription to one of the foreign tv pay services, and if you have to buy that in the UK you are looking at well over 500 quid just for the sub for one of the providers with better football coverage.
