Alternative to Sky in Spain?

Hi Guys and Gals

I need a bit of advise, I have a house in Spain near Barcelona- I get sky via freeview, Im afraid I am a bit of a cheapstae and dont want to pay for full sky
But I was interested in what other satelites may be available from this location- I have a large dish and single LNB.
I was also wondering if I could get any internet access from a satelite??
I would like athe normal Freeview and Freesat type stuff, a bit of sports and some spanish chanels if possible
ANY help would be much apreciated.
Adrian

Hi there, welcome to the board!

Have a look at kingofsat.net, lyngsat.com and flysat.com, some of the best websites showing what is out there on the clark belt (the geostationnary orbit of the TV satellites). Some of them show some good footprint maps too, which should give you a gist of what you should be able to receive in your region. There's not an awful lot of FTA (free) sports though, I'm afraid.

Good luck!

ps: maybe you should consider editing the title of your thread, as it's pretty vague and doesn't make it clear for people who might not be able to help you whether they should spend time reading your thread or not.
