My System: Newbie, Looking to get into the satellite world.
Help Req!

Hello there I am looking at buying a complete system and was wondering what package would be the best to go for. I have around £200 to spend.

I am looking at installing a motorised system with a 1m dish.

To recieve the football and other channel's do I need to buy card's? If so which is the best one to get.

I have looked through so many forums etc and to be honet still a little confused.

All help most welcome

Hi,
£200 will just about get you a reasonable receiver, a motor, a reasonable 1m dish and installation components. Foreign cards are mostly fairly expensive, and thus are not within your budget.

Robbo,

Cheers for the info.

I was speaking to a installer today and he was saying that all of the decent channels are scrambled/coded so will I need to buy a cam card to watch decent channels.

Can someone confirm if this is right?

Also he was saying that because I would need my dish fixed up so high it would be only worth while having the dish fixed. He said that I could get 19, 32 and another with one LNB is this any good, and can I get any decent channels?

Sorry about all the questions but before I splash out over £200 I want to make sure it is worth it.
