Technomate 5200D USB FTA PVR issues

Hi,

I was wondering if there are any compatibility issues with External Hard drives with the Technomate 5200D USB? I have a Medion 1000GB and formatted it to FAT32 on my PC, hooked it up and I still get error messages (unknown file system). I tried to format it via the technomate but it just seems to hang and do nothing. I did a usb speed test and it states that not all PVR functionality is available as its too slow (or something like that)??? Am I missing something?

Please help

Thanks.

My System: Motorised ASC 1.2m,1224 Supermount with C120 Invacom Quad LNB with Matched Feedhorn.

I've just upgraded my hard drive from a 256 freecom to a terabite toshiba for my TM6900HD and its been a pain, suffered similar probs too you-the times i lost recordings grrrrr-never had prob with freecom. Usually turning off reciever sorted for short term.

I reformatted on PC few weeks ago, then on TM and since touch wood all ok.

Have you tried formatting it with the application available on the Technomate website?

I re-formatted the disk and it records now. I've one more question, the technomate website states that

"Record one channel and view another at the same time
28th November 2008
With all TM-5000 Super Series Models you can now record one channel and watch another (on the same transponder) at the same time.

Whilst recording a channel, press OK a few seconds later to see a list of channels that you can watch at the same time."

I tried this but I can't see a list of channels that it mentions above. Has anyone else been able to do this? The model I have is the super series 5200D USB.

Have you got the latest software on the receiver, also available from the Technomate website?
